Design Challenge- Frutiger Next Pro has long been a cornerstone of advertising and branding, known for its clean, modern aesthetic. This book’s design concept seeks to fuse the contemporary appeal of Frutiger Next Pro with the retro, bold aesthetics of the New Wave era. Drawing inspiration from the late 1970s and early 1980s, New Wave was a cultural phenomenon defined by its experimental use of synthesizers and avant-garde sounds.

Design Solution- Much like the music itself, the typography used to promote New Wave bands embraced unconventional layouts and dynamic text compositions. This blend of Frutiger Next Pro’s modern precision with the vibrant, eclectic visual language of New Wave creates a striking contrast, offering a fresh take on both styles.
